FNSI. the results.

Yesterday was another fun FNSI, or rather Friday Sew-In since most of the sewing happened between 8 am and 6 pm.  I had big intentions of making a serious dent in my sewing to-do list and somehow there just wasn't enough time in the day. You know how that goes?

With the day of uninterrupted sewing time, I was able to finish up this quilt and pieced the back.  Now it is off to the longarm quilter and I am one step closer to being able to share it with you all.  Sorry, still no pictures.

After all day sewing, I enjoyed an evening with the boyfriend.  We took the dog for a walk (it was in the 50s!?!), had a little dinner date, and then watched a movie together at home.  Pretty uneventful, just the way we like! :)

I also spent a chunk of time late last night getting all my sewing supplies and projects together for a three generation sewing day today with my mom, grandma, and little sister. More on that later but so this post isn't completely photo-less, here is a picture taken this afternoon on my grandparent's farm.

a day on the farm.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

  1. Finishing a quilt and piecing the backing sounds like a fairly productive FNSI to me. But I do know what you mean... I often think I should be able to get more done than I actually do, even if I stick with the sewing and don't take any breaks. Hope you had loads of fun on your three generational sewing day!

  2. Sounds super productive! Way to go!

I was too tired to do any stitching at all last night. I realized when I had put diaper cream on my kid's toothbrush and started brushing her teeth with it that I needed to call it a night.

  3. Yay, you! I know what you mean about expecting to do more than you actually accomplish, but then I remind myself that I'm not actually on a deadline with anything so I should have fun with what I've got in front of me.

    That works...sometimes. :)
