single girl test run.

I finally finished cutting out all the pieces for my queen size single girl quilt this past weekend.  Phew!  Now it is time to get down to business sewing some arches.
let the piecing begin.
 Up until now, I have avoided sewing curves at all costs.  Intimidating.  So rather than jump head first into sewing curves using my KJR, I opted for a test run of sorts using fabric scraps from my Sliced Coins Quilt.  I love how this block turned out.

Now I just have to work up the courage to start sewing with that KJR.

  3. Just do it - you've done it once, you can do it another 12 times, right? Or is it 16? Your test block looks awesome, makes me want to stop my assembly line so I can see one whole block at my house too :)

  4. Test block looks great! I'm doing a king sized single girl myself. I was so afraid of the curves too but once I've gotten going, they're not too bad. Love your test block colors too. I'm excited to see you post your real blocks:)
