sewing summit [the loot]

you know you have a fabric addiction when you go back to the quilt store, just to finish filling your carry on bags. yep. been there. done that.
friday morning, before the official sewing summit festivities started, i took part in a little bus shop hop with 50 other women. and i shopped.til.i.dropped. literally. we visited two shops that i seriously couldn't get enough of. if you ever find yourself in SLC, you must check out Material Girl Quilts and Pine Needles. they are fab.u.lous.

first up: fabric. my stash at home was in need of some blender fabrics, so i was on a mission. lots of fat quarters.
i also picked up a couple patterns that have been on my wish list for a while.
there were lots and LOTS of fabulous door prizes on our shop hop. my prize was this adorable Halloween jelly-roll. so i had to pick up a fat quarter and charm pack to go with it.

at this point i was totally satisfied with my purchases, but i still had room in my carry on. the solution: yarn store! i picked up a few yummy fall yarns to make some cowls.

this doesn't even include the fabulous sewing summit swag bags! more on that later. :)

hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

  1. All of it is sooooo beautiful! And you know, I'm so not into Halloween but I have really been drawn to all of these fun seasonal fabrics that I have been seeing all over the place. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it all!

  2. love it all! I wish I would've thought to pick up a Swoon pattern, you're so smart :)

  3. Drool! I'm needing that Swoon pattern too!

  4. all these posts on the sewing summit make me wish I was there that much more! Glad you had fun and I'm loving your haul!

  5. It looks like you did an awesome job on your blenders! Nice stack!

  6. Oh such great stuff - I purchased the swoon pattern too. I can't wait for my background fabric to arrive so I can get started on it!!

  7. I love your big stack!! Such variety. I think I have learned that I need to branch out in color and work on my basics stash. And I agree about the shops -- they were fabulous!!

  8. We seriously need to go shopping together. Every time I turned around you had the cutest looking stack of fabrics in your arms! Very nice choices :)

  9. OH YUM! That fabric! Blenders are my absolute favorite! I seem to buy them more than anything else, haha :)

  10. I'm sooooooooooooo jealous!!! I need to find out more about this wonderful place so I can go in the future! :)

PS- I made a table runner out of that Halloween fabric and it turned out super cute. You've just reminded me to blog about it. :)
