christmas in july block-a-thon: my block!

freespiritfabrics.blogspot.com

hello there! have you started thinking about Christmas yet?! ok, ok. it is only August but today i'm excited to share my Christmas in July Block-a-thon block: Sweet Tooth over on the Free Spirit blog

SweetToothBlockE

i was asked to design a 6" x 6" block using a traditional combination of red, green, and white fabric. after some thought i decided to go with simple patchwork to compliment the traditional set of fabrics i was given. simple patchwork + "piece of candy" shaped block = sweet tooth. :) head on over to the Free Spirit blog for the entire block tutorial

the final block tutorial will be posted on Friday and the entire quilt (plus a great giveaway!) will be revealed Monday! you can find all of the block tutorials on the Free Spirit blog as well as an e-book that will be released soon.
