WiP Wednesday {13}

Wow, number 13 already!
WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

NEW PROJECTS
Quilt Story Block Party
I had decided I wasn't going to take part in the Block Party over at Quilt Story. I thought I just didn't have the time and I didn't really need any more orphan blocks floating around.  Then I saw all of your beautiful blocks, and I couldn't help myself.  So I whipped up a couple of my own, and just need to photograph them and post them this afternoon.  Here's a little peak at one of the blocks.
xo - in the works

FINISHED PROJECTS
crazy{9} wall quilt
crazy {9} wall quilt
I tackled quilting this little guy over the weekend.  Blogged here.

Postage Stamp Quilt Along
I finished this quilt top over the weekend too.  Look at all those little seams on the back.  Eeeek!  More pictures to come.

ONGOING PROJECTS
MMMtaste
MMM Swap
I started this little project for my partner, and I am loving it so much I want to keep it! :)  Funny how that works.  Here's a little peak, just have to add some Wonderland by MoMo for Moda and call it good.

JUST A LITTLE PROGRESS
Dresden Plate Quilt
I am entering one of these dresden plates into the Block Party as well.  But as for the quilt, I only have 3 blocks to go.

DESPERATELY NEEDING ATTENTION
Don't Call Me Betsy's Sliced Coins Quilt Along
I am hoping to play catch up today and tomorrow.

SUTK Swap
I haven't started cutting the fabric on this one yet because I am second guessing myself.  Does anyone else who is/has been involved with swaps stress about what they make for their partner.  My partner and I don't exactly have matching tastes, so I am trying my best to be creative and make something that she will like.  But, ugh, this little project is stressing me to the max.

{Sew} Beautiful Bee
I am very excited to make the block Emily choose (and her fabrics are fabulous!), so I am holding off on starting it a few more days in hopes I finish some other projects up.  We will see how well "holding off" works. :)

  1. Wow, everyone is doing the block party! I keep repeating - i will not join, I will not join! Love your x's and o's block. Excited to see your postage stamp quilt. They are bigger than I expected. I want some of this snow to melt so I can take mine out to photograph!
Yes - SUTK was my first swap and I'm totally stressing about whether my partner will like what I made! Especially since I spent a lot of time on it. I would hate to have my project get stuck in a drawer or something!

  2. I know, so hard to resist the Block Party. Your block is great though. I can't imagine how they're going to pick winners, there are so many fabulous blocks to choose from!

The MMM swap embroidery is so amazing. Can't wait to see what it becomes.

Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday, have a great week! : )

  3. I love how your MMM project and your Block Party block are looking. And Wonderland in your MMM???? Swoon! Please be my partner!!! I've done three swaps before the three I'm currently in, and yes, I totally agree that it can be really stressful to try to step outside of your comfort zone. I'm sure that your partner is going to love whatever you make, though, Megan - your work is so beautiful!! I know I'd call myself lucky if I was your partner. :)

  5. Your Block Party block is utterly fantastic--I love it! (although it's a little tough to admit it, since we seem to be in direct competition...hee!)

It was great fun to play, though, wasn't it?

I'm looking forward to seeing your postage stamp!
